Have had my new s24+ for 48 hrs and I'm already having to send it for repair. Phone is great until you try and call out. Every call same result call drops @ 9mins 50sec. I have factory reset, got a new SIM card. Still nothing. I traded in my old phone to upgrade now I'm without a phone for over a week so that will be fun. Anyone else having this issue? Perhaps even a solution ?

Thanks.

If every call is dropping at exactly the same 9 minutes & 50 seconds.. my first thought would be a Carrier issue.. I don't see any reason how it could be either a Firmware, or hardware issue.. it seems like it's on some kind timer or something?

My sister has just got the same phones, one in yellow, which operates perfectly normal and the black ( same as mine) has the exact issue even with the same call cut-off time. All with the same carrier. But yes ill be checking more with the carrier

Well I know that with Rogers, calls longer than 7 HOURS are automatically disconnected.. but if both you & your sister are with the same Carrier & the same thing is happening on both.. in my opinion, there's little doubt that it is a Carrier issue, and nothing to do with the phone.. so don't send it in for repair!

Agree with @RedDog. To rule out your phone, you can always put your sim card in another phone and see if it still happens, if it does well definitely a carrier issue. I wouldn't send my phone in for repair (yet). My S24 Ultra has never dropped a call . Which carrier are you with ?

You can maybe try to go into your connection settings and re-register on the network (settings>connections>mobile networks>network operators. Either change it to automatically or select manually and see if it changes anything. May not be a solution but worth a try.

If also add that maybe try it changing the network mode - if it's on auto with 5G set it to no 5G.

Also check if WiFi calling is enabled and if so try disabling it.

Update:
I've reset the network switched from auto to manual. Restarted phone. Still will not make an outgoing call longer than 9mins 50sec to other samsung devices. It will however call landlines and phones. No call dropping what's so ever. Repeated this on my sister's phone same results. This is just very strange

Just wanted to be absolutely sure, are you saying that your sister's phone is doing exactly the same. disconnecting after 9 minutes & 50 seconds?

If that's the case, it really sounds like one of two things I could possibly imagine:

Carrier is limiting the duration of calls.

There's an app, or something like Digital Wellbeing, that is disconnecting the calls.

Or Digital Wellbeing itself. Check that you don't have a Timer set to Disconnect calls after 9 minutes & 50 seconds.

Go to Settings & Search for "Digital Wellbeing", and check it's Settings.

Short of a Factory Reset, Go to Settings & Reset ALL Settings & Reboot & make a call.

Update: I contacted my provider. After trying everyone's advice. With no success. And yes my sister is with the same provider is experiencing exact same issue. Apparently It's is an issue with programming through the towers. And multiple tickets have been submitted. So they are aware of the issue and now I'm just waiting for response for when they get it resolved. I want to thank everyone for the help
