Hey, has anyone else had issues with the front camera on their S24 Ultra? Mine just started acting up by showing all white and not scanningmy face on login screen, and I think it might be a hardware problem. I've tried clearing the cache and booting in safe mode, but nothing seems to work. I'm hoping someone has some ideas before I have to report it to samsung. Thanks

No sorry wish I could help try updating the device or factory reset it hopefully that works

Go into Settings > Device Care > Diagnostics > Phone Diagnostics.

Should be a face recognition test as well as front camera test.

Phone also has own diagnostic tool by dialing *#0*#0 on phone keypad.

Hi, as said by Vic20 please run Diagnostics. Try to clean camera's and gallery's cache and data.

Go to Settings > Tap on Apps and Scroll down to the camera > Tap on Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data for the camera.

If it doesn't work please reset the camera app.

Reset the Camera app > Open the Camera app, and then tap Settings > Swipe to and tap Reset settings, and then tap Reset.

If the above steps doesn't work, we kindly request you to send us an error report using Samsung members application.

Open the Samsung Members app, and then tap the + key at the bottom right > Tap Error reports > A message will populate for you to choose Always to send the system log data or Just this time. We recommend being connected to Wi-Fi network depending on your mobile network plan > You will be able to choose from Category on what issue your device might be experiencing among the list > Please enter issue details or attach a video or screenshot to make easier to understand. Then press Send icons to complete report. Meanwhile, we will also forward this issue to our appropriate team for review.

Thanks everyone! Did everything of that and generated error report yesterday. However i might not be able to wait for their response so i am heading to a samsung experience store for them to have a look at this phone. I hope this gets sorted out

It was found that it was a hardware issue with the front camera. I got the front camera replaced swiftly by samsung team. Not a phone replacement though. I might have received a lemon product

Hi Johmarpc, that's really sad to hear that your'e facing this issue on the Camera app on your device.

Did you tried to run diagnostics for the Camera? Did you observe any error message?
