Galaxy SHi everyone, I am having issues with two email apps. After having problems with my Blue Mail app not getting email notifications without opening the application, I decided to try K-9 Mail, and this app also does not show email notifications if the phone is on standby (screen off) but downloads emails properly if I open the application. Is this only happening to me?

I am in Canada. I have been using Blue Mail with my Samsung phones for the past 10 years without any issues. For multiple email accounts, I find it superior to Outlook and Gmail. As mentioned above I found a good alternative that works perfectly. Thanks.

I tried reinstalling Aquamail and for it to unlock the pro version using my old key.
For you, if an email is sent to you, do you get instant notification or only after a polling period? Because I don't get any, even with notification enabled and unrestricted set.
Edit: got it figured out and now notifications are working. Very happy as Aquamail is my favorite email client.

@Dentho, @RobertZ, Thank you for your response. I stand corrected. I have just never heard of the Blue Mail and K-9 Mail apps. I have been using Outlook/Hotmail for the past 20 to 25 years and found them to be very reliable for all my email requirements.
