My S24 Ultra battery drains faster with the latest software update. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Yes I'm finding the same issue! Battery drains noticeably quicker. I took it to a service center and they confirmed battery health is good.

That's good to know. I hope it gets fixed soon with the next update.

Hi StanJ,

We are sorry to hear this your'e experiecing this issue after an update, the system may take a couple of days to index files and optimize apps, which can temporarily use more power. Monitor your battery usage for 2–3 days to see if it improves.

Check for Rogue Apps:

Go to Settings > Battery and device care > Battery > Usage since last charge to identify apps consuming excessive power.

If an app you don’t use often is draining your battery, consider uninstalling or restricting its background activity.

Clear Cache: Clear the cache partition to remove residual data from the update by booting into recovery mode and selecting Wipe cache partition.

Hold the Power button and Volume Down to open the power options where choose the Power off > When the screen goes dark press the Volume Up and Power keys together > Let go of all held buttons when you see the Recovery mode on the screen > Then you should select Wipe cache partition. Use Volume Up to navigate and the Power button to accept it > Choose Yes and press the Power key to confirm that operation > After that select Reboot system now with the Power key."

If nothing works, as a last resort please perform back up and factory data reset.

How about having the update clear the cache. That would at least cut back on thousands of posts telling users to clear the cache after an update.
