I stupidly bought another Samsung. I waited months for s23 to come out. I purchased s23 from Samsung Canada, was sucked into rebate scam. My s20 always was always in an otter box and had screen protector, not a scratch on it. I had nothing but issues setting up s23, support was NOT very helpful. I returned s20 in its original box, I put it in a box with bubble wrap and recieve an email that the phone was damaged! That s20 did NOT have a scratch on it!!!! Speaking to support was a joke!! I have owned multiple Samsung phones, 2 Samsung watches, Samsung TV, Samsung sound bar, samsung washer and dryer. I was looking at getting a Samsung tablet to replace iPad, won't waste another cent on Samsung!! Who can be contacted to file complaints? I'll be looking at purchasing iPhone and as expensive their watches are I would spend the money on buying a apple watch. I've owned multiple smart watches that stopped working within a year, surprisingly the Samsung watch was one of the better watches, again I will spend the money to replace my Samsung products with Apple products. I would like to file a complaint about the rebate scam.

If you are sending a device for trade in, it's always a good idea to take pictures of the device before you send it back.

Here's a link to contact Samsung's CEO.

I think the link is still valid.

I've read people have done that and Samsung canada has claimed the pix weren't recent pix of when they sent the phone in. I mentioned issue to a lawyer and no where does it say to take pix, I stupidly thought Samsung could be trusted because friends ordered from Apple Canada directly and haven't had issues with getting rebates back without lies. I honestly didn't think Samsung canada would scam customers. Thank you for your suggestion and link.

There's data in images that can prove the date of the photo.

But, yeah you should be able to trust Samsung and whichever partners they may be using to assess the condition & value of trade-ins.

Yeah I understand there's data in images but Samsung canada/t-assurant has scammed other customers, it seems to be a issue. It's honestly so disheartening they can't be trusted. I really appreciate your responses, I didn't think anyone was on this community member page and certainly don't expect Samsung canada to respond or care, again thank you, there's good people out there wiling to try help.

I traded In two phones. A note 20 ultra and that went smooth and the other one was a s10+. The S10 was a terrible experience, we took pics and shipped and they still said there was a scratch on the back of the phone. I talked to support, emailed pics and support was super terrible, even with pictures they didn't help. The rep said that the trade in company said there was a scratch and In the terms they make the value. I asked him to look at the pics I sent and show me the where there were any marks and I would gladly pay then. He couldn't lol. They escalated. And that rep replied to me once and then the second time took 7 days to respond so we were past the due date (obviously done on purpose)

I love Samsung phones. But their service is terrible, they need to hire Apple to train them how to actually run the service side of things

After i sent my phone, I've heard absolutely horrible experiences with Samsung canada/t-assurant rebate scams. I was a bit leary but wasn't sure the horror stories were real, they are unfortunately & worse yet samsung canada could careless. I'm telling friends and family NOT buy samsungs, go to apple or another android. I didn't expect Samsung service to be this horrible, if they cared they could learn a lot from Apple service. Im sorry you went through this too.

Personally, I'd never trade in any phone, whether it was Samsung or Apple.

Selling privately through Kijiji has always been a much better proposition. More money & no debates on the value of the phone.

I usually go for the trade in with my local company, I'll never ever go through Samsung ever again, I want to switch to Apple and anyone but Samsung now. Next time I'll sell online. Thanks for suggestion.

I traded in my S22 Ultra with no issues, but I was definitely tempted to do private through Kijiji or Facebook Marketplace. Just seen too many videos where people **bleep** the phone and run off or drive off. Do you meet in police parking lots designated for buy and sells?
