Samsung Clock and Google Assistant

When I use Google assistant on my phone to set a timer, it is set properly in Samsung clock.  But if I issue another voice command like Pause timer or Stop timer, the clock app opens up and Google assistant says "you can do that in the app", but it doesn't actually pause or stop the timer.

If I install google clock, it takes over and everything works fine using Google assistant.

So, why is Samsung clock not properly integrated with google assistant?

Do you have Google's Clock set as the Default Clock, or Samsung's?

Google Assistant works for me with Samsung's Clock set up as the Default Clock on my device.

I see. When I have this issue, I don't even have Google clock installed. Just Samsung clock, so it would be the default. When I install google clock, it takes over and no issue with google assistant.

Perhaps Samsung will:

"Samsung's innovation in scale by joining forces with Google on a common messaging client as default messaging app" is looking at doing the same with Samsung's Clock?

Hi Zaptor, just to be sure after installing Google clock is your issue resolved? and is your Google Assistant working fine?

Yeah after installing google clock, google assistant commands go to google clock and all commands work fine (start, pause, stop, cancel, etc.). But when only Samsung clock is installed, only starting a timer works via Google assistant, but the other commands just bring up the app and says "you can do that in the app", but the voice commands don't actually pause or stop the timer.

Hi, we request you to generate error report by following the below steps.

Tap and hold on Samsung Members Icon and tap on Error report >> select the category from the below >> Describe the issue and check the option "send system log data" then send.

Hi, I don't consider the problem solved. I reported the issue to Samsung. Are you saying installing Google Clock is the solution?
