Galaxy SHello, the solution is after enabling all the notification go back and press the three bars again, then select the account that you need to set the notifications for, then on the Email sync schedule choose auto. you will be good to go.

Galaxy SWow... that is crazy how hidden that is. There is no indication there is a sub menu there.
Thanks to everyone who assisted with this! I really appreciate it. My OCD was off the charts with this one :)
But I still don't know why this is set to off by default for new installs... and why these sub menus are hidden like this. It should say "New Emails..." or something to provide some clue that it has a sub menu.
Thanks again

Galaxy SAnyway, can you mark this as a solution by clicking 3 dots on top right of the post so that others can search this post as a solution? Thanks!

Galaxy SHello. I am following this thread and having a similar problem with my new A42 5G. I am not getting alerts for Gmail notifications. Initially, it worked and notifications were coming in for two synched Gmail accounts. It stopped after about 3 weeks. In particular, it appears all of the settings are turned on in the Gmail app. I know this thread is over a year old, but do you have any other suggestions?
