Hi I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue? And if it's covered under warranty? It's not from physical or water damage. It looks more like it's detaching the plastic backing from the phone itself. I'm the first owner of this phone and have had it for about 8 months now. The phones been getting very hot even just sitting in my pocket with the screen and AOD turned off . If anyone else has had this issue please reach out! Thank you.

I am having the same issue, phone paint at back peeling and the back part actually opens. My phone is also getting very hot. I have had it just over a year and feel so disappointed. It has been well protected and costs a fortune. Has anyone managed to get this resolved?

Also the touch along the edges especially where the peeling has started is starting to become less responsive and sometimes unresponsive to the point of needing to reboot.

This is happening to my phone!!! I have had the phone for about 10 months when it started peeling, at first it started just around the camera lens and then it made its way alll around my phone. My phone does also get hot for no reason especially if its charging. I contacted at&t seeing as thats who i boight tho phone through, i was still within the year manufactory warranty but they wanted a $600 "non compliance fee" if it has physical damage. and due to no fault of my own it is physically damaged because its like the phones back is melting off from the inside out. I now have my phone taped up because thats the only way to keep the back on.

If you purchased the device from AT&T, then you should be contacting them.

This is the Canadian Samsung Members, in case you were unaware.

I could care less if this is Canadian samsung members or if it is USA. It is still SAMSUNG and my phone is a SAMSUNG not a AT&T brand phone. Thats just where i purchased it. They are not the manufacturer of this phone, Samsung is!!! I will gladly be buying an iphone and saying f*ck samsung after this s**t stops working.

Nice lil rant, but Samsung doesn't offer any warranty coverage for devices purchased in a different country.

So as much as that su*cks & as much as you rant, your only chance of getting anything from Samsung, is in the US.

Samsung Canada's customer service is a joke, so maybe you'd have more luck in the US.

Hi, I suggest you to get the device examined by the technician, Visit the nearest Samsung Authorized Service Center, check the link for ASC details.

Ya see this is the only response they have.....and when you go take it in samsung and the service provider don't do anything about it. All I gotta say is in November when my 2 year contract is up if this effects anything towards me getting a new device. Some ones gonna be in pain and it won't be me.

This is happening to my phone too!! I've had my phone for one year and I noticed the peeling around month 10. My phone gets hot when taking pictures outside and while charging. It seems as if the back is being gapped from the phone, not sure what's happening but it's very annoying. I'm not sure whether to contact Samsung or t-mobile.
