Samsung keyboard special characters bottom row does not work

Hi,

I have a problem with samsung keyboard on my S21 ultra. When I hold a key to show menu with special characters, I can only select those from upper row. Buttons in lower row doesn't get a blue highlight when I hover over them. It happens in all languages. I would be grateful for any suggestions.

I probably explained it a bit wrong. I rather meant diacritics than special characters. I attach screenshots of top row which I can select

 

and bottom which doesn't work for me.

Hi, We request you to reset the keyboard to default settings from the Samsung keyboard.

1. Go to “General management,” and tap on Samsung Keyboard settings.

2. Scroll down and tap on “Reset to default” settings followed by “Reset keyboard settings.”
