Galaxy SHi kochikkaran, we suggest you to perform backup and reset and see if the issue gets resolved. Here are the steps to backup your data: Backup from Samsung account--Apps > Settings > Cloud > Backup > Select the data > Back up now. Backup from Google account--Apps > Settings > Backup and reset.
Here are the steps for factory reset, settings>>General management>>Reset>>Factory data reset>>Scroll down to the bottom and tap on Reset>> Delete All

Galaxy SI tried restarting phone and issue doesnot appear till I unlock phone. Then a prompt seem to come in notification about " Uninstall Gear VR". Never saw this before the recent update. I tried going to notifocation settings of this prompt. Unable to uncheck " show notifications". Is this a bug?

Galaxy SWhen I updated I got the Uninstall Gear VR message also and did this and everything is good since.
I am guessing Gear VR might not be compatible with Android 12 or hasn't been updated to make it compatible yet
Try uninstalling and rebooting and see if it helps with your problem
Also boot into recovery and wipe the cache

Galaxy SI had the actual Gear VR app to uninstall on my S10 and that is all that uninstalled.
Could also maybe be under Octulus
If you cannot find another way factory reset after backup should eliminate the problem of it being part of other apps.
