Can anyone tell me what the "broken triangle with both up and down arrows inside" means? It is the service status icon to the left of "bluetooth on" icon: see attachment below ef1f7536-2498-4f46-91b6-c0a88de696a4.jpg

its data saver, turn that off and that icon will go away

Thanks for the info. I wasn't bothered by it, so much as curious. But I tried your suggestion, just to see for myself. It worked.
This was my first experience with community or forums. Don't do any social media. Period.

Or you can use System UI Tuner to hide it on the Status Bar (adb commands required) 😉🐧

bro, do know how to add custom text on Status Bar without rooting? on S8+.

@RichMan depends on what custom text you want - There's some Substratum Themes that can be used (if your running Oreo you'll need to use adb commands along with the Andromeda app which costs $2.39).
There's actually quite a lot that can be done without Root 😉 🐧
