I tried to restore via sd card and it just doesn't work. Like it stops working and then sometimes it goes blank and goes back to the home screen.
Please help.

Uhm - You might want to Scan the sd card with your computer - "scan & fix".
It's possible that your sd card is the problem - Smart Switch to the sd card is working fine for me - Also check that you have the latest version of Smart Switch installed on your phone 🕊

I do. I just finished flashing CSA5 for S9. I actually flashed it 3 times. To see if the sd card thing would work. It didn't. I scan it and fix it when I wake up. Oh well. This is why I kinda hate this reset after flashing. It's annoying.

I can't get Smart Switch to work. I'm trying to update my Note 8 calendar from my desktop (Outlook). Smart switch on the desktop starts up but then says unknown error and shuts down.

Maybe uninstall it. But you need to locate the backup files and move them to a separate folder, or else they will be deleted. Trust, I have done this.
