To be honest, it is a great app which can be used to set up your new Samsung phone and it works great but it is a one and done app.

By this I mean, that for the time in between phones you do not need the app, yet there it is in your app tray. I get that you can disable it but my question why can't the app be set up to delete from your phone.or automatically delete once the set up process is complete.

When you get a new phone you can just simply download it from the store.

Just my two cents.

Sync to Samsung Cloud is sync your data to Cloud storage, which provided by Samsung. It only sync few features to cloud, like address book, sms, phone settings...etc. No media sync. It requires internet.

The SmartSwitch sync is in between phone / watch / computer. SmartSwitch sync is synchronize data between devices locally. You can do this without internet.

SmartSwitch sync can also act as a backup. Choose Backup button and will backup your phone data to your computer. You can restore data any time you need, like accidentally deleted photos, text messages, mp3 songs...etc. You can restore individual data.

Note: Some app data may need to backup seperately, like Whatsapp and WeChat.

What about if user do a regular backup? The user may install the app every time.

I think it can disable and is fine. But not automatically delete after use once. Also, SmartSwitch can use for restore data if user backed up data to computer.

SmartSwith also require for syncing data between phone and watch.

Totally agree and disagree

The reason i agree most time you want to trade in the phone or sell it when you switch so it be usefull

The reason i disagree tho is because there should be a section just for this and one just for making 2 device sync

See i use a s9 ultra and a s24 ultra and they both need eachother to function to their 100%

But but i issue i have is when i want to use both of them as one often i have to manually tranfer files with quick share i even had to retransfter all my stuff from tablet to phone because it got out of sync so bad that i just said *** it ima copy my tablet into my phone it will be faster then going photo by photo and organising everything to be exactly the same in the app folder was going to be a big pain in the *** so i said *** it

But using switch i had to make my phone like a fresh new phone and retransfer mostly everything to get app settings and all

If i were samsung id implement the auto reboot to the smart switch app but id make another one called smart sync and it be basically the same app almost but instead of doing the tranfer of all the data it would make sure that both device have the same files organised the same way and that all the setting are the same
