When I enter a new item there doesn't appear to be any old place to enter time. There's a little clock to the left with a slider to the right and a right arrow on the line below. Sliding the slider to the right doesn't make the arrow active. In fact it doesn't seem to do anything. Getting tired of fighting with this app. Used to be the best calendar app out there.

Hi, I request you to please perform Clear Cache on the app by using the below details and check again.

Clearing the app cache is kind of like a cleanse for your apps. It will get rid of residual files that could be slowing down the app.

Open Settings, and then swipe to and tap Apps. Select or search for the app you want to clear. Tap Storage, and then tap Clear cache.

Thanks very much, Helenna. I've done that before but I did it again and it had no effect on the slider activating anything and the list below didn't add any choices to enter or change time. Should I reboot phone or uninstall and reinstall the calendar? Can it be installed? Doesn't appear to be uninstallable.

Hi rsgherr, to better assist you, could you take a screenshot of what you see in the Calendar app?

Hi rgsherr, that is certainly not expected and we apologize. We invite you to try one of these solutions:

  1. Clear the app data
Please ensure that all calendar data are backed up or synced with your account. Then, follow the steps suggested by Helenna, but this time, click 'Clear data'.
  2. Wipe cache partition
If the first solution does not work, kindly try to wipe cache partition on your device.
    1. Turn off your device,
    2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Side key simultaneously,
    3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys,
    4. An 'Installing system update' message may show briefly before the Android Recovery menu options appear,
    5. Press the Volume down key several times to navigate to 'Wipe cache partition',
    6. Press the Side key to select,
    7. Press the Volume down key to navigate to 'Yes', then press the Side key to select,
    8. When the process is complete, the Reboot system now is highlighted,
    9. Press the Side key to restart your device.

Should this issue not resolved after trying these two solutions, we ask you to report the error through the Samsung Members app.

Thanks Ben. I haven't done this yet. Instead I reverted back to the factory version and then it works fine. I did that once before but at some point it must have updated again.

You have the toggle of "all day" event turned on. So you can't enter a time. Toggle it off.

Once you toggle it off, you'll see the time appear to set it.1708050636263.jpg
