The Samsung S24 Ultra has terrible scrolling lag.

Google Discover and News Feed have terrible lag.

But so do some apps and websites.

There is even animation lag when using the multitasking amd switching between apps, with stuttering.

I thought one ui 6.1 was the smoothest?

This was never an issue on my iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Not to mention the launch day issues of:
  • No true vivid mode. Screen colors look dull and faded.
  • The phone does not reach the 2000 nits of brightness.
  • The camera is not better than the S23 Ultra.
I can look over all of that, but I cannot tolerate the scroll lag.

I have attached a video.

It's a software problem. There are reports of people who exchanged the device for a new one and the problem persists.

Update on Wipe Cache partition.

Apologies for misleading the thread, It does not fixes the issue unfortunately.

However, lags in few areas were fixed with the wipe such as WhatsApp but now I think that might have been a separate issue.

I did a factory reset after the latest update and only restored my contacts but still, I can see micro stutter in play store, Google feed, YouTube music etc. It completely ruins the user experience.

Whats also unfortunate is that this issue is not new. At this point I hope it's a software issue and someone's working on this.

Thanks for the update and sharing what happens after a factory reset and non use of smart switch. Hopefully this is fixed.

Good afternoon, I have presented the same problems that you describe, I have tried everything without success, what I have noticed is that lag is more recurrent in sites with a lot of ambient or artificial light, it makes a small stutter by graduating the screen brightness and then the slow scroll begins to feel, in dark places it is always fluid. Have you tried using it without a screen saver and without a case?

That is certainly interesting. I do not have a screen protector. I do have a clear case. Although, not sure what the correlation to lag would be with a case.

I will however pay attention to the ambient lighting to determine when the happens. Thanks for thr tip. I will check it out and report back.

I am also facing the same issue on my S24 plus. Lagging mostly in google feed, play store and X. Hope samsung is hearing us and rectify the issues in next update.

I experience the same issues. They appeared about 1 week after I bought the phone. In my case it is the S24 base model. I was gonna try a factory reset soon.

Also I saw one model kept for testing purposes for customers on a local store, and the funny thing is that I saw the same issues on that one as well, even though it was set on retail mode :))
