Has anyone else noticed that the battery charging circle is gone & the battery percentage indicator in the top right corner is barely legible? It's so much harder to keep track of battery usage with these changes.
Also, the battery percentage & notification icons on Always On Display are ridiculously small!
I used to be able to see my notifications at a glance from a distance, now I have to physically pick up my phone & check. So frustrating!
Why does Samsung have to change functions that have always worked and are user friendly???

Hi Joanie_Kay,

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback regarding the One UI 7 update on your Galaxy S23+. We truly understand how frustrating it can be when familiar features and design elements are changed, especially when they affect your daily experience.

We've received similar reports from other users regarding the removal of the charging animation circle, the reduced legibility of the battery percentage in the status bar, and the noticeably smaller icons and text on the Always On Display. These changes were part of a broader visual redesign in One UI 7, aimed at simplifying the interface — but we understand that for many users, they’ve had the opposite effect in terms of usability.

Please know that your feedback is incredibly valuable to us. We’re actively collecting input like yours and forwarding it to our development teams. In the meantime, we recommend submitting feedback directly via the Samsung Members app (Support > Send Feedback > UI/UX), so your experience is formally logged.

Additionally, if you're open to customization, the Good Lock suite (specifically the QuickStar and ClockFace modules) may help you regain some control over the status bar and AOD appearance.

We appreciate your continued support and patience. Your voice helps shape future updates, and we hope to bring improvements in upcoming versions based on your input.

Why would you take it upon yourself to make ui more simple? We bought androids not iphones.

So far I like the update it makes everything easier to find on the phone and it's more appealing to the eye.
