I received an email that a $50 trade-in value for my old Galaxy S8+ adjusted to $20!

I remember that sentence while ordering S22 Ultra: "a few scratches are fine". It was pretty clean and usable.

I am not sure what Samsung was expecting in exchange for $50 for a device that is 4 years old.

I am not going to object for $30 when I am paying around $1700 for a new phone.

Just wanted to write here to say that Samsung is very capable to insult a fan. That's it.

Hi omca, you will have 14 days to accept or decline the adjusted Trade-In Value. As per the Terms of Use, if you accept the adjusted Trade-In Value, or do not respond within 14 days, Samsung will charge you the difference between the adjusted Trade-In Value and the Trade-In Value that was applied to the purchase of your new Galaxy product, plus applicable taxes (“Device Condition Charge”).

If you reject the adjusted Trade-In Value, your used device may be returned to you and Samsung will charge you the full amount of the Trade-In Value, and any applicable promotional trade-in credit, that was applied to the purchase of your new Galaxy product, plus applicable taxes.

Hi there, I just received a reply about my trade in, is there any phone line I can reach to ask what's wrong about the trade in?
I have all the pics of the phone before shipping and it looks like they are saying in the email I received that there's something wrong with the screen...Is there any way to fight that?

Same experience here. I took pictures and a full video of a working phone. Just got my email that the device has physical damage. And the back glass is also damaged.
Had screen protectors on the entire time. Phone looked in mint condition

They said
• Device has physical damage
• Device display or back glass has damage, defects and/or functional issues
Pictures show no physical damage and front and back screens/glass are perfect.
