Galaxy SCan you make calls? You're talking about Text Messages?
You could try removing & reinserting the SIM.
You could also try Resetting the Network Settings.. it's possible that if you restored everything from your previous phone, it may have messed up Network Settings?

Galaxy SHi mullysdink,
If you're unable to send or receive messages on your Galaxy S24 FE after transferring data, this could be due to a configuration issue with your carrier's settings or the messaging app.
As adviced by RedDogRabbit, removing and reinserting the SIM card, as well as resetting network settings, are indeed effective troubleshooting steps for messaging issues.
Confirm Default Messaging App. Go to Settings > Apps > Default apps > SMS app and ensure the Google Messages app is selected.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it’s worth contacting your carrier. Hope the issue gets resolved quickly.
Thank you.
