Galaxy SYou can't just "roll back" to a previous version, and if there has been a Bootloader version update, then it's impossible anyway.
Start with Booting into Recovery & Wipe Cache.

Galaxy SRather than throw it away, there's two other things that I would do first:
- Backup your device with Smart Switch & Factory Reset. That SHOULD resolve all your issues.
If not:
- Visit a Samsung Service Centre to get it checked out by a tech.

Galaxy SNo, I wouldn't use a previous phone to backup / Restore.
I backup my current phone weekly using Smart Switch.
The purpose of this, is should I need to Factory Reset, I can restore my current device's apps, downloads etc.
