How does one stop samsung wallet from over riding google pay?

Should be, just don't open Samsung Pay. 

Open Google Wallet. 

I have both on my device, and never had one try to place itself as the none selected payment app.

You can check to see if you have accidentally made Samsung Pay (Wallet) the default payment app.. possibly?

That's the problem when I opened google wallet samsung wallet would kick in

Go to Settings > Apps & Click on Default Apps. See if Samsung Pay is set as the Default Payment app. If so Remove it as the Default app.

As you can see, I don't have any Default Payment app set.

Hi, as adviced by RedDogRabbit please check that if Samsung wallet is set as Default payment app?

If you don't want to use Samsung wallet for payments, please remove it from Default payment app.
