why is my s8 using too much battery while sleeping?

I have noticed that my galaxy consumes around 15% to 20% battery everytime I go to sleep. How come?

its most likely because of background apps, try cleaning them

I did. It helped a little bit. But I get 5 hours SOT, apparently that's the norm

then the only solution I have for you my friend, is to call support because no one deserve to buy a $900 with only 5 hours of battery life my moto g3 lasts for a week then it's only 77%

I have an s7 edge and this is also happening for me I put it on power saving mode and cleared background apps and my phone is still running out if battery I paid $1000 for this phone and I get this type of battery???
