Galaxy SI’ve been having this strange issue with my Galaxy S22 lately. Every time I lock the screen, the Wi-Fi disconnects after a minute or two. As soon as I unlock the phone again, it reconnects automatically. It’s really annoying, especially when I’m downloading something or expecting notifications from apps that rely on Wi-Fi.
I first noticed the issue while using the campus Wi-Fi at Bringston University, so at first, I thought it might be a network-specific problem. But then it started happening on my home Wi-Fi too, which makes me think it’s something with the phone itself.
I checked my Wi-Fi settings and made sure "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" is set to "Always." I also disabled battery optimization for the apps I need, but the issue still continues. This only started happening recently, maybe after the last update.
Thanks!

Galaxy SIf that isn't it, only other thing I can find in settings is to go into the developer options settings and check the "WiFi throttling" setting.

Galaxy SHi Rovmenpaul,
Yes, enabling "Lock network and security" under Settings > Lock screen > Secure lock settings can help prevent Wi-Fi from disconnecting when the screen is locked.
Also, it's definitely worth checking Battery Saving settings. Switching between modes like Mid and Maximum power saving can sometimes lead to Wi-Fi being disabled, even if unintentionally.
Thank you.
