Fingerprint Notification Gesture Removed

The gesture to swipe down on the fingerprint sensor to show the notification panel at any time has been removed in OneUI 5.1.1 on the Fold 5.

This gesture was available and working well in OneUI 5.1 on my old Fold 4. I used the gesture all the time and it was a great user experience feature. This never should been removed on the Fold 5.

The suggestion the agent gave in the attached screenshot to return to the home screen and use the swipe down gesture from there is not a reasonable option.

Please bring this gesture back in an update soon.

Man I literally just found out my fold 4 had this feature a couple weeks ago, very upset the 5 removed it since I just got the blasted thing. It was one of my favorite features from the Note8

Literally went from 4 to 5 and this was the the first feature I wanted to turn on. There's no reason this should have been removed. A tall phone like this makes good use of this feature.

I've used this feature on my s9 then switched to s21 and was very disappointed it wasn't there. Then I saw overview of fold 4 and saw this feature there again. That was one of the reasons why I decided to upgrade my phone.

I've bought fold 5 since it has better specs but I can't believe this small but so nice feature is removed. I'm so disappointed right now. How stupid you should be to remove such nice thing. So sad to see it's not there(

Utterly ridiculous to remove something such as this. There's no benefits to them removing it and no harm in keeping it.

Just found out this was removed, if I had known I might have just stayed with the Fold 4
