After the recent update, my keyboard keeps changing to the default even when I have a custom theme installed. It gets to the point where I have to restart my phone, but it still reverts to the default keyboard every time. I've tried everything, including resetting the keyboard, restarting the phone, and changing the theme, but nothing seems to work. Please help me.

My phone is a Galaxy Z Flip 4, if that helps. Everything else works fine, except for this persistent keyboard issue.

Update: no changes still, even after update :(

Try this:

  • Revert to the Default Samsung Theme.
  • Clear Both Cache & Data for Galaxy Themes.
  • Boot into Recovery & Wipe Cache.
  • Reapply the Theme & Reboot.

See if that fixes the issue for you.

I'll give it a try after work. Thank you for your help!

It was a good run, but it didn't work. It kept changing on its own, but thanks anyway!

Mine has been doing the same thing after the update. Is so annoying 🙄

If anyone has a better solution. Please let me know. Thank you 🥰

Try a different theme?

OR

Try a different Keyboard altogether, ie: SwiftKey which has it's own built-in themes.

Gboard is another option, although I've been using SwiftKey since it came out.

Hi, we appreciate your efforts, i request you to please perform Safe Mode on the device and check the issue again.

To enter Safe Mode, please perform the following:

First, completely power off the phone.

Then, power on the phone and when the Samsung logo appears, press and hold down the Volume down key.

If done correctly, "Safe Mode" will display on the bottom left corner of the screen.

If "Safe Mode" does not appear, repeat the steps above.

Once you are in Safe Mode, you can remove the third-party app that is causing issues on your phone.

To exit Safe Mode, simply restart your phone and it will reboot normally.

Important: When you exit Safe Mode, some of your customization options (wallpapers, themes, etc.) may be reset to default.

I'll give it a try right now! I'll be back to report if it works :)

FYI, Safe Mode disables 3rd party apps...

So I'm not sure what you will learn regarding the keyboard..
