Unable to Unlock Samsung Notes

Please help..

I changed my phone about a month ago. I transferred all the data and my samsung account to the new phone. It ran okay for a while. Yesterday I turned on my old phone. It turned out that my samsung account was still active in my old phone. I tried to change the samsung account with a new email. It didn't work. So, I factory reset my old phone and then signed in with the new email after the reset. While I set up the old phone, I didn't check my new phone. It turned out my usual account (which is used in my new phone) was somehow affected. One of the problems was I can't access my locked Samsung Notes. Every time I tried to open my locked notes, the notification "This note was locked with another account" appears. I can access the regular notes just fine. But I can't open/unlock the locked notes. I desperately need to be able to access the note. I don't know what to do. I tried to sign in multiple times with my usual account. It didn't work.

Any idea what to do? 😭

Don't know why you're having trouble with your Samsung Account information.. Gotta ask, is this actually your phone? 

Issues with Samsung Health, as well as Samsung Notes? 

If you are logging into your Samsung Account, with the same login information, there shouldn't be any problem. 

I Factory Reset my device after every Android version update, so it's exactly the same as if it was a new phone..

As the person stated they wiped their old phone ans signed in with a new email address - so their Samsung account is NOT the same as thr original. Your inquiry is valid though is he/she/they the rightful owner of the notes data.

Thanks, yeah I missed that they are using a new email account. 

That's why they can't get there Samsung Health data back, or access their Samsung Notes. 

I would have thought that it's obvious that you can't login with a different account, and expect to access the data / apps from a different account.

This reply is spectacularly unhelpful. There obviously is a problem as there are repeated posts with the same issue.

I upgraded from a Note 8 to a Note 20. I have exactly the same issue accessing my locked files even though everything seems to have transferred across.

Samsung website is no use at all.

Hi, We would like to inform you that Samsung Notes are locked with your Samsung account.

If you cannot log in to your Samsung account, you may reset your password.

You will be unable to view or edit a locked note without entering the password.

I am logged in to my Samsung account with no issues. I have biometrics set up and it still will not let me in.

This is not an isolated incident of this type it appears.
