My Samsung A10e factory restarted when I put in a sim card from Rogers and I lost everything, memories, hours of work, everything! I don't know why it factory restarted, but it did. I'm no tech expert, but I don't think it should've done that.

If it's the first time you insert a SIM card, then it's normal for the phone to perform a Factory Reset.

I know that it can be annoying if you spent time setting up your phone, before inserting the SIM, but it's I believe intended to provide protection if the phone is lost or stolen.

There could be better warnings so that you don't spend lots of time setting up your phone when you first got it.

This thing is a Samsung thing, been working at a carrier store for few years, when a sim Is first inserted inside a phone, it reset it and it restart it with carrier app installed, Samsung install all carrier software inside the phone, when the sim is inserted the my account app and carrier bloatware is installed, Samsung ship to every carrier 1 phone, with one software, the sim determine what show up in the app section from which carrier you inserted the sim from... Hope it clarified a bit of stuff... I understand its sad, I've done a complete Transfer for a costumer of mine after realizing I forgot to insert the sim first, had to do It again....
