Samsung Range NE58F9710WS/AC

Recently, while doing some baking for Christmas we noticed that the broiler element came on during the bake cycle and was red hot causing a small fire which was quickly put out but there was smoke everywhere inside the house.

I went to the U.S.  forum and noticed that I am the fourth person in the past week that has complained about this very same issue.  These are the people who have taken the time to search on the web and then actually make a report.  It makes me wonder how many other people this is happening too that have not bothered to make a report.

Every report has been responded to by a Moderator who requests the user to send a Private Message which is great but there is no follow up for us to read what the solution to the problem is??

I would like to know and I am sure others with this problem would like to know if this is a known problem with a particular "part" that is faulty or if there is a simple fix??

I was directed by the US Samsung moderator to visit this Canadian site for assistance but I see most people posting about oven problems are told to call Samsung Technical department.

I was just wondering if anyone reading this have had the same problem and then had it fixed, can you please advise what the solution was?  Faulty part that needed replacing?

This is obviously a known problem or issue within the Samsung community as there have been so many people reporting the same issue across other models of Samsung ovens regardless if they are US or Canadian models.

Please help,

Thank you,

June 2023 and twice this week our oven has turned on the broiler by itself.

not sure if the stove is possessed or just faulty? The latter I would guess!

A recurring issue by looking at the history here? Will try Samsung on Monday.

I am sure that the issue will be resolved right away!🤔

Just got my stove today. While the delivery people were installing it, it kept saying broil.  After they left, I kept trying other modes.  They'd work.  I;'d turn the oven off, and the next time I opened the oven door it would say broil.  I'm doing the initial bake cycle right now with the flex duo divider removed.  It will automatically turn off after, but I'd like to know the solution to the problem.

This just started happening - I replaced the temp sensor - simple operation that took about 30 minutes - and now no baking is possible because the broiler comes on regardless of whether I select Broil or Bake.

I do not trust this oven at all. I worry now that we have a gigantic fire hazard just taking up space in our home.

This has now happened to me twice. Once during a huge dinner party and today it almost broiled my Turkey. The oven is only 5 years old, this is nuts. Any fixes??

that same thing just happened to me as I was baking my daughter’s birthday cake! Almost started a fire if I wasn’t standing in the kitchen able to notice immediately. How can I get this fixed? Is it a recall yet??

Same issue.  Baked a cake, then a meat dish for dinner today.  Baking another cake while eating dinner when smoke started pouring out.  Broiler element was on.  Turned off the oven and let it cool.  Later set the top oven to bake at 350 and then checked the broiler element.  It was on again.

What's the solution Samsung?  If I had set this oven to come on while I wasn't home, it would have burned the house down.  At this time, there are 32 comments to this thread of people having the same issue.  This is obviously a known problem.

Samsung, please respond.  Peoples homes and lives are depending on a solution to this problem.

Same here. I was told a tech would have to come out but it would be $170 just to have them look at it. That’s  almost 1/4 price of what we spent on the oven itself - never mind what it will cost to fix it. Super frustrating and dangerous. I don’t trust Samsung ovens at this point

Exact same thing happening here the broiler is coming on no matter what you select or how low the temp is. I tried to do a steam clean and the 300ml of tap water all evaporated and gone, oven super hot nit normal for steam clean. Wife had a couple burst glass oven dishes and can't even bake a cake this is ridiculous. I tested the ohm of the two temp sensors and they both at 1107 ohms at room temperature which is fine so is the broiler element bad as it only reads 17ohms?? Mine is model# NE58F9710WS/AC

Add me to the list. Twice when we were baking at 350 we smelled something burning and the oven was broiling the banana bread.  This is seriously dangerous. We can't leave the kitchen when the oven is on anymore.  Samsung doesn't care about this if the oven is out of warranty.

Samsung support offered to send a tech over to my house for $400-$800 or I could buy a new oven to replace this one for the "deeply discounted price" of $3,500...which is the exact same price as Best Buy.  I'm done with Samsung.  I've had multiple problems with my relatively new Samsung washing machine, too.
