Flagship device costs more than $1000 and still running Nov 1 security patch in mid February. Pixel 3 looked bad because of the notch but Pixel 4 here I'm coming, I want my day 1 updates.
Bye Samsung you lose my $1000 this year, and every coming year. Hope you still make profit without my money. Goodluck

Samsung has been famous for sloppy software for all the time. You made a bad decision at the very first beginning if that is what you want. see u

I came from. S7 to S9 thinking of faster security updates. But S7 is always beating S9. It now has January patch.

Quarterly patch is fine I suppose. Since S9 itself is on quarterly patch 😂😂😂😂

i upgraded S8+ to S9+ because of some reddit bullshit about how project treble means quick updates. I was so wrong.

Treble is about not having to wait/pay to get new drivers. This only solves a part of the problem. You are still left with
1- Custom UX features
2- Custom UX debugging
3- Non-Treblized drivers (such as Iris Scanners and non-standard screens like Infinity-O)
4- Carrier requests
5- Certifications of all sorts
6- Delays for no reasons (a very important part of releasing updates)

i had no clue what it meant. Everyone on r/Android hyped it that S9 would be get faster updates now. I hence made the wrong choice.

I get the frustration. I'd like to see Samsung commit to faster updates. It's despicable that cheaper phones run newer software then the expensive flagships we buy from Samsung. But at the end of the DayZ Samsung doesn't have to give a shit about how we feel because we still buy the phones. Customers don't matter, because we keep buying the phones, so they don't have to care. lol. but I still like the phones so I'll keep buying them because at least they work, and don't fail me constantly (I'll forgive you for the S6Edge, Samsung) lol

Yeah it's not Samsung's fault. It's Samsung Canada's fault. Elsewhere, the S9s, Notes all got their December and January patches. And this elsewhere includes the US.
