I recently bought a 32 inch curved Samsung Odyssey G5 about 5 months ago. One morning I woke up and there was a giant bubble down the middle of the screen. Samsung said this was physical damage from pressure to the screen but this monitor was sitting on a desk and this “crack”/ bubble appeared over night and looks nearly perfect down the middle. I live alone so no one could have possibly damaged it over night. I have seen this issue on other forums and it only seems to happen to curved screens. I have seen other people post saying this issue happened to their Samsung TV. Has anyone seen a bubble like this appear on its own? If so what could cause this screen to crack on its own? Would this be a manufacturer’s defect?

Same thing with my monitor. Has anyone had a replacement?

Same thing happened to mine. I should not be taking responsibility for this. Technician came and says it's physically damaged, however they stated that it's not an user error by all means and should ask samsung customer service to replace it with new one. There's no way for a user to damage the monitor like this. a straight line that has no crack on the outside. everything is internal.

Customer service rep looked at the ticket and says physical damage and it's not covered under warranty. I fought back and asked them to open another ticket and have different technician to look at this. this is not fair

I have the same internal crack issue, monitor cracked on its own. Customer care is blaming me for physical damage even though I didn't even touch it. No external marks/dents/scratches etc on the outside, not even on the glass.

I have the same problem. Screen literally cracked as I was using it. No external damage, not even a mark on the screen, not a scratch or dent on the whole thing.  The monitor has not been moved since it was installed on my desk  when purchased. It lives a very sedentary life of  an accountant's monitor. 10 months old and Samsung sent out the repairman who said it would be classed as CID- Customer Induced Damage. Called Samsung back and they said it would not be covered by warrantee. Lawyer friend now writing a nasty letter. Come on Samsung, clearly there is a problem with these monitors. Do the right thing and fix it or replace it!

Mine just cracked.  Mounted on my desk using a heavy-duty arm and the provided VESA mount.  Was fine yesterday when I turned it off at the end of the work day, cracked from top to bottom when I turned it on this morning.
