OthersTexts are not stored in your device's memory.
They are stored on your Carrier's server.
Unless they were backed up, they are gone.
You can Clear Both Cache & Data for your Messaging app, but they would be repopulated to your device from the Carrier, but deleting Texts from within your Message app, deletes them from the Carrier's server.

OthersI suppose that it is possible, for Law Enforcement to retrieve texts, but if the texts were encrypted, still probably not. Although apparently WhatsApp messages can be retrieved, even after deletion, but then again Facebook lies when they say that What messages can not be read by Facebook employees.

Go to Settings > Google & check.
