So here's the thing I obviously know how to delete contacts, but when I do delete them the next day or 2 they automatically come back. I tried clearing cache, restarting my phone and no matter what they keep coming back, both on whatsapp and contacts. How do I remove them for good? I have a Samsung S20+

It sounds like you have another app which has access to your Contacts & when your device Syncs Contacts, they are restored.

Go to Settings > Apps and Click on the 3 Dot Menu Top Right > Permission Manager & Scroll down to Contacts to see which apps might be Syncing & Restoring the deleted Contacts..

It's weird though, I've deleted Contacts & they never returned.

Are you saving your Contacts to a Gmail Account (which is what I do), or are you saving them to SIM or Phone?

I think they are being synced back from either samsung cloud or Google cloud. Go to manage contacts in contact, then sync contacts to see which accounts are syncing your contacts, then you try and delete them from there or try to disable them

Manage Contacts, only gives you the option of which Account, ie: Samsung or Google to Sync.

It does not give you the option to Sync / Restore Contacts. Regardless, if you delete Contacts from your Samsung / Google Account(s), they shouldn't be Restored on the next Sync, they should also be removed from your Cloud Storage.

Kind of similar to how Google Photos works, if you delete photos from your device, they also get deleted from your Cloud Backup..

"Important: If you back up photos and videos to Google Photos on a mobile device, when you delete them from the Google Photos app, they're also deleted from your device. Learn how to remove backed up photos and videos from Google Photos but not your device. Sign in to your Google Account."

It does give you the option to which accounts you can sync from. Also, when you delete photos from your phone it doesn't automatically delete from Google cloud

Yeah I tried and still nothing. I don't know what is causing it. I deleted the contacts that I don't need and about 3 days ago and just today them came back.
