currently there are shadows underneath the icon name text, which doesn't look good on bright wallpapers. I think it would be nice to scrap this altogether. On yellow beaches or white capped waves, the text shadows ruin the home screen aesthetic many of us try to achieve.

in the images attached, you get a look at what I'm talking about. Not only does the lack of icon label shadows look cleaner, but also doesn't intrude as much with the wallpaper and home screen aesthetic.

I think that depends on your launcher and your icon pack.

It's a suggestion to improve Touchwiz stock launcher. I've been using Nova for many years and definitely way more superior to Touchwiz.
