OthersIt's likely to be a coincidence that you are hearing a "crackle" after the update.
Open the Samsung Members app & Click on Support > Phone Diagnostics & run the Diagnostics for the Speaker. See if you get any error messages.
It's possible that there's some debris in the speaker & you can try Clearing the debris (if that's the cause) using a speaker cleaner app from the Play Store (mostly designed to remove moisture), but may work for you, as long as you didn't get any error messages from the Diagnostics.
Here's a screen shot of a speaker cleaner app that works well.

OthersThe Diagnostics won't ever fix anything, but did you get any error messages after running the Diagnostics for the speaker?
Did you try the Speaker Cleaner app?

OthersTry the Speaker Cleaner, if you still have the "crackle", you might want to visit a Samsung Service Centre to get it checked out by a tech.
I really don't think that it's anything to do with the update.
