I just purchased this washer last year and it is now out of warranty. The washer does everything it is suppose to but when it gets to the spin cycle it repeatedly adds water while spinning and especially at the very end of the spin cycle will fill the tub again soaking all the clothes. Checked for clogs, drain pump works fine. Water shuts off when power is cut. I am at a loss as to what it could be. It spins at high speed, no strange sounds or anything. Any ideas?

things to check

-drain hose for a plug
-take out the drain pump and see if its plugged
-unhook drain pump and check for connectivity ( multimeter)
-try just unplugging and pressing power to drain all power than plug it in again and run a cycle.

to me personally it sounds like a plugged or dead drain pump

I thought it was the drain pump too but it is draining just fine, the problem is that is adds water when it is not suppose to. it will add during, in between and after the spin cycle. especially at the end of the cycle when it is done it will fill up with water again and occasionally will add during high speed spin cycle and it ends up overflowing out the back air hose

Hi Samsung_Fin12Tq, As you have performed all the troubleshooting steps, I suggest you to get the unit examined by the service technician to determine the root cause of the issue.

so a bit of an update, so my symptoms are not just with the spin cycle, it is happening in all cycles. fill, drain, fill, drain forever and ever. I decide to pull out the water level sensor and checked continuity on the 3 connectors. 1 and 3 have continuity but the other 2 pairs do not which is what it is suppose to be however when adding pressure to the hose I can here the diaghpram move and checked for continuity again. same results as the first test, continuity didn't switch over to the other connector pairs and continuity remained for pin 1 and 3. that being said I am confident the switch is faulty and will be ordering a new one however does the symptoms correlate to a faulty water level switch? i would think it would either fill non stop or not fill at all but you never know with these, just wondering if anyone has experienced the same symptoms and the result was the water level switch?

faulty water switch usually won't let water in or not stop filling. i do known most modern side loaders add water to balances loads out if needed. smart washer they call them i call them annoying.

well when I get the new switch in ill update on how it goes, hopefully that was the problem. I wouldn't think after a year and a half it should be blowing sensors but we have had a lot of power outages lately so it could of fried it?

yes that could cause a problem.

in all honesty stuff like fridges and dryers and washer to much tech in them there bound to have problems. its much like the same concept with cars. more doesn't always mean better. especially when it comes to something lasting problem free.

I have the plain Jane washer that I paid 400 brand new and its never giving me a problem in 5 years of use.
