It's Friday, I'm tired and this is all I've got to say.

I'm new to samsung but I know updates roll out differently for region and stuff but how does this factor in? Like telus owned phones or?

It's usually for all carriers

The updates come from Samsung's Servers & at the same time across the country. Carrier does not matter.

I'd like to know why as of late older models are getting the update before my S23U thinking the time may have come.to switch back to apple.

My S23 Ultra is running the July Security Patch, and if you think that hinting you might switch to iPhone will be noticed by anyone at Samsung, you will be severely disappointed.

Nope I have realized over the last 5 years that everything with Samsung falls on deaf ears. That's why when it comes time to upgrade my phone it will be to an apple. Samsung has messed with the updates for the S23U since it's release often having updates out for the S22U and s21u before the 23. I paid way too much for this phone to get updates after older flagship models

I base my decisions on the hardware that works for me.

If you prefer iPhone, go for it.

Software updates are obviously important, but for me they aren't the reason to stay with, or leave any OEM.

For me Samsung's hardware and UI, is miles better than iPhone... but each to their own.
