Bought the new Samsung S23ultra recently with a trade in offer(Note10+). The trade in phone was in a scratch less condition and upon receiving the product the trade in value was decreased. If you do not accept the trade in value, they will take out all the applicable discounts from the total value of phone. You land up paying the full amount just because you dont accept the trade in value. Feel cheated, after using Samsung for over 15 years will never buy a Samsung device again. (Toronto Canada)

I traded in my phone to get the S23 and had no issues, trade in accepted at full value. Did you make sure you checked everything that was asked? There is zero exclusion for misrepresenting a trade in device even if you've been a Samsung customer for 30 years. That goes to any business. (Alberta, Canada)

Done 3 now, no issues either. There cannot be a single thing misrepresented and make videos of resetting ,packing, dropping off, general phone condition if push comes to shove. But honestly, it's been very Smooth!

I wish it was like that. Photos and screen shots mean nothing If they simply refuse to respond until after the 14 days is over

Google Samsung trade in problems and there is a long long list of hits. Seems most advise buying an old.burner phone to trade in for cheap and expect zero but do it for the trade in bonus.

Samsung care plus seems like a huge waste of money now

Hi, we would like to inform you that to receive the estimated Trade-In Value of your trade-in device, you must in the Trade-in Tool have selected the trade-in option and accurately identified your trade-in device and its condition. Following receipt of your trade-in device, an inspection will be performed by Samsung’s third party, Assurant.

As per the Terms of Use, if the condition of your device differs materially from that which you described, the trade- value would be less, you will have 14 days to accept or decline the adjusted Trade-In Value. As per the Terms of Use, if you accept the adjusted Trade-In Value, or do not respond within 14 days, Samsung will charge you the difference between the adjusted Trade-In Value and the Trade-In Value that was applied to the purchase of your new Galaxy product, plus applicable taxes (“Device Condition Charge”).

If you reject the adjusted Trade-In Value, your used device may be returned to you and Samsung will charge you the full amount of the Trade-In Value, and any applicable promotional trade-in credit, that was applied to the purchase of your new Galaxy product, plus applicable taxes.

Samsung, maybe it's time to cut Tues eotb third parties such as Assurant.

Moreover, maybe adjust the deal with them so they have no benefit of assessing a device of zero value and deem them liable to always return the product to the customer.

I find it odd that Samsung being as large as they are with all the businesses they could not do, this completely themselves
