Ontario Driver's License (Digital)

Ontario stated that they will roll out the digital ID by this year, but haven't heard any updates. I was wondering when it comes out if Samsung Galaxy users will be able to store the license on Samsung Wallet or at least Google Wallet without having to download a government app just for this purpose. (Even though downloading one app is mich better than carrying a wallet all the time).

You should be able to use Samsung Pay & Or Google Wallet. 

In addition to Payment Cards, I have added my Health Card, Covid-19 Vaccination Status as "Loyalty Cards"

Pretty much anything, that uses a QR or Bar Code can be added to either Wallet App.

All of my cards are in my wallet already Drivers license, health card other loyalty cards not found in the app.
I just take a photo of the front and back and add them that way, pretty easy really
