I want to know why BMO (Bank of Montreal) is the only major Canadian bank that Samsung Wallet does not provide support for and how can we change that.

Ok. I actually work for Air Miles, BMO acquired us on 01 June/23. I called and spoke to someone that is a special line for employees and he said they're aware we're the only major bank not supported and that they want to be. Not sure who declined the offer then. He made it sound like Samsung refused them. Bizarre because Air Miles runs a bonus promo for using Samsung Wallet yet BMO is the only exclusion.

Ask the Bank of Montreal!

Samsung Wallet will support whatever financial institution allows Samsung Wallet. 

It was only Recently that TD allowed Samsung Wallet, because until recently TD had it's own mobile payment system.. 

Blame BMO, not Samsung.

That may be a good point. My first step was the branch I deal with. They gave me a number for employees of BMO to call. I mentioned a Wallet system they have and their reply was that it was being discontinued. So I called the # provided by them. That BMO employee line said it was Samsung that won't provide the support. Seems I'm in a loop.

Seems like BMO isn't as informed as they could be.. It's BMO, Not Samsung in Canada.

I'll read the article a tad closer though. Before I speak to my employer and call them on BS regarding this. Working for them means I need to be more "sensative" as a new employee under the BMO umbrella. 😲🤣

Same issue with National Bank. They told me they don't support Samsung wallet and ask me to use google wallet instead. I don't think it's a big job to accept Samsung wallet but because we can use Google they don't want to make it work

I am a customer with RBC and have not had any issues using Samsung Wallet.

Yeah. I checked the list and if the "big five" here, BMO is the lone wolf for not being supported by Samsung Wallet
