Secure Folder

Files on secure folder cannot be accessed if the Samsung account is removed from the phone. This suggests that the files and applications are storeded on Samsung servers. Is this the case? If not why is it not possible to access files or applications when Samsung  account is removed from the phone?

I have also noticed that if I take a screen shot of the message that appears when I attempt to open Secure folder when I don't have an Samsung Accout (see picture) I cannot find the  screen shot. Where is the file? The phone makes a click sound but I cannot find the image. The image I enclosed was taken with a camera.Taken with a cameraTaken with a camera

@Shaggyskunk1 🤣😂 I know, that was redundant from me. Just added little bits of more info, or if you want to call it 'explanation.' 😂🤣

Kind of makes sense that you can't access* the Secure Folder if you remove the account from the device....Seems like a reasonable security measure - Same with not being able to take screen shots of the contents of the Secure Folder... My 2 cents fwiw 🐧

Secure Folder is connected to your samsung account as a security measure. From what I know, the only data they save is when you sync your Secure Folder to back-up.
Screenshots are also not taken as a security measure, and if it did take it inside secure folder, it will be in the 'my files' app in the secure folder.

If that is true why does Secure folder not work unless you are signed into Samsung  site?

@SamSungtwo I think it stemmed from the fact that 'Secure Folder' was once 'Samsung My Knox' which were geared towards companies who have IT departments that controls the devices. Having the phone locked in to the person using it will prevent any sensitive information to be leaked, and if it fell to the wrong hands, the company's IT department can just remotely wipe the phone of its sensitive information.
Also, since its conception, it has always asked the users to connect 'Secure Folder' to a Samsung account before using it.

That doesn't make sense. If this is a usable application for the phone whether a person is signed into Samsung or not the application should work.

I was told by Samsung to not sign into the Samsung account to prevent the problem of ""find my mobile" from turning itself on without my notification.

I dont understand your question. Samsung account is not required to log on by the phone and messenger is not related to secure folder.

Since signing in is required for usage of Secure folder that suggest that information is being sent to Samsung for Secure folder to operate.
