Hi dbone89,

Detailed Guidance for Resolving the Issue:

Check for Software Updates

Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to ensure your device is running the latest firmware.

Reset Network Settings

Navigate to Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings. This clears all saved Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth data and may resolve hidden conflicts.

Error Report Submission

Open the Samsung Members app > Support > Error reports and include system log data. This will allow our technical team to analyze the root cause more thoroughly.

Service Center Evaluation

If the issue persists, we recommend visiting an authorized Samsung Service Center. Our specialists can run advanced diagnostics to determine if the Wi‑Fi module or related components require repair.

We truly appreciate your patience and the steps you’ve already taken. Your feedback helps us improve the experience for all Galaxy users.

Solutions & Tips

Since your device cannot connect to Wi‑Fi, we recommend the following alternatives to complete the update.

Use Mobile Data:

  • If your carrier allows, you can enable Download updates using mobile data under Settings > Software update.

Update via Smart Switch (PC or Mac):

  • Download Samsung Smart Switch on your computer.
  • Connect your phone using a USB cable.
  • Smart Switch will detect your device and allow you to install the latest software update without requiring Wi‑Fi.

Service Center Assistance:

If the above options are not possible, we recommend visiting an authorized Samsung Service Center. Our technicians can perform the update for you and also run diagnostics on the Wi‑Fi module to ensure there are no hardware-related issues.

I've always been able to update both Security Patch Updates & One UI version Updates on either WiFi or Mobile Data.... Even when I had my S20 Ultra.
