One ui 7 1 problem, App drawer search bar

Does anyone else hate the one ui 7 app drawer search is on the bottom and then leaving a visible empty chunk at the top when opened and then you search for an app and the results are up top forcing you to move your thumb anyways making it kinda useless. If search was on bottom and when I searched for an app the results appeared on the bottom as well that would be okay. Otherwise one ui 7 is fine

Like everything else on our devices we do not have alot of choice about how things are displayed except for things that they let us change so we just have to get used to it as that is the way it is.

I have been running the S25 Ultra since they came out and don't even notice the problem any more🤔

Yeah that's the truth for sure and i may try another launcher since we have that freedom or maybe Goodlock will have an option eventually to move it back. It was just the 1 glaring annoyance I had after and I keep wanting to start a search from up there or flip pages in my app drawer. I'm sure I will get used to the changes as well

You can still flip pages if that is what you like to do by changing the sort to custom order but I really like the list all on one page in alphabetical order to find items.

Kind of eliminates the need to search

I've been using Nova Launcher since it was first available, and even though I've tried a few other Launchers, I never used anything else for more than an hour.

Definitely a suggestion to be made.
Unfortunately we need to use the US site.

There is someone that's been honored by Samsung therein that makes suggestions taken from the community and many get implemented.

I don't see the issue with this design personally, but that just might be my way of seeing it. You don't have to move your thumb to the top twice. But I like your suggestion for the results to appear on the bottom as well.

Thanks for your feedback! We understand your frustration—the new bottom-positioned search bar in the One UI 7 app drawer is meant to improve reachability, but as you pointed out, it can feel counterintuitive when search results still appear at the top, forcing thumb movement anyway.

This is great feedback and we recommend sharing it directly via the Samsung Members app under Samsung Members > Support > Send feedback > Suggestions.

Your suggestion to keep both the search bar and results near the bottom or allow layout customization could really help improve usability in future updates.
