Hi ReenBoy, Sorry for your inconvenience. Galaxy Tab S6 lite does not support Samsung DeX feature and is optimized for stand alone only at this moment. However, Samsung is considering to add DeX feature with next Android OS of Tab S6 lite. Samsung is always committed to providing the best possible mobile experience to customers.
As of now, the Dex runs on Galaxy S8/S8+, Note8, S9/S9+, Note9, S10e/S10/S10+, Note10/10+, S20/S20+/S20 Ultra, Note20/Note20 Ultra, and the Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Z Fold2. DeX is also available on Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S4, Tab S5e, Tab S6, Tab S7. However, we take it as your feedback.
Dear Samsung, I recently bought an S6 Lite after being an iPad user for many years and I am really happy with it so far. However, I did not know about DEX until I came across this thread and I must say that as a long time Apple user I think you are not marketing DEX well at all. If I had know about DEX I would have paid the additional money and bought one of your tablets which do support DEX. It's an awesome feature and I can't believe you don't promote it. I'm still happy with the S6 though because I mainly wanted an affordable pen-capable tablet and this was my first trial of a samsung device for many years (I bought the Omnia phone many years ago on the hype of it being and iPhone killer and it put me off Samsung for over 10 years). Before buying the S6 Lite I went into the Samsung flagship store near me for information and without meaning to be rude they were terrible. They did not know the products and no-one mentioned DEX at all and in fact gave me wrong information on other features. This is where Apple has you beaten because they are so well trained on all their products and their features. I almost didn't buy the tablet as a result except that I did online research which said it was a good device and I really wanted a pen-equipped tablet. As far as that goes it's brilliant and your Samsung Notes app is fantastic. You should be advertising these things. And one last thing, the built quality is on par with my daughters new iPad Pro (she does graphic design and your tablets don't match Apple in this space). I'm not ready to trade in my iPhone just yet but I personally won't be buying an iPad ever again but I almost didn't come over as a new Samsung customer because of the issues I mentioned above. I just purchased a Samsung S6 Lite Tablet. I want to use DEX. I was getting ready to return the tablet when I received the latest Android update that allowed me to run DEX in my samsung s6 Lite. The only issue I am having is connecting the monitor to the tablet. I've tried using the Samsung DEX cable. I tested the cable with my Samsung S8 and it works perfect. But when I connect to the same cable to the tablet does not seems to recognize the cable. By the way I am also running a Samsung curved monitor. Any ideas?
