Samsung tab s7, security update

We are in September and last security update is still stuck at june1st.

Does Samsung really care about all device users? Pathetic !!

Not sure why the tab S7 is slow getting updates at the moment because they have been fairly regular at getting monthly updates

Yes, feel like @samsung don't care.. for note20 which released in same period in Aug update where as tab stuck in June... And they promised 3yrs update ...

There have been late updates with various devices also so is possible that they ran into a problem with the update that takes longer to rectify before they release it.

Too optimistic 🤣🤣 comment, I rather feel like they haven't even started working on update based on their customer support experience

Tablets usually don't get the same update schedule compared to phones. I believe they're in a quarterly update schedule where newer flagship phones aim for a monthly update. This is probably due to having a ton of devices out + each region having to deal with pushing their own updates specific to the country they're in hence why some countries will receive updates earlier than others.

Also, remember that their phone market is a lot larger than the tablet one so it'll recieve faster updates since if there are any vulnerabilities, it'll affect a larger population. And usually tablets don't carry a lot of sensitive information compared to phones so that could explain the different update priority as well.

But some important updates like camera/ other software issues needs to be addressed early for new tabs, not to wait quarterly.. something like iPads, I know Market is low but that's how you improve market as well

Unfortunately, Galaxy tabs are on the quarterly update list, not monthly.
