WearablesHey Baselisawesome,
Please verify for the Galaxy wearable app update and make sure that the buds live also updated to the latest version.
First, navigate to and open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone>> Update earbuds software.
If the problem persists, reset your earbuds from the Galaxy wearable app and check if it works.
For the Galaxy Buds or Buds live, tap About earbuds. Tap Reset earbuds and then tap Reset to confirm.
Note: Factory resetting the Galaxy Buds Live resets all the settings to its defaults.

Wearablesthe same thing keeps happening. I think its not a problem with the buds or anything, I think its the software that does this.
buds live are designed that when you open the case, they automatically connect without opening the wearable app, which works completely fine.
I am a person that carries my note 10+, and an iphone and a laptop, and when I want to for example switch my buds connection from my iPhone to my note, or from my laptop to my note, I swipe down from the notification panel, and open the Bluetooth settings, and click on my buds (the Bluetooth shortcut) when I click on them, it opens the wearable app. I think this is an something the app developers can do. instead of opening the app, just make them connect to the phone.
thank you very much, hopefully a solution is found soon. thanks!

WearablesSOLVED!
Hello, I'm from the future...The year 2021. I used "ADB" with command "logcat" to monitor logs on my Samsung S8+ to try and determine what process was initiating the opening of the wearables app. Well, I gave it about 20min before getting board reading logs. So here's what I did to fix the issue instead...
About 3 years ago I installed an app on my phone called "BK disabler". I highly doubt its available on the play store anymore (It once was) but I'm sure you can find a copy of it floating around the web somewhere. It allows you to freeze or disable any app within Android WITHOUT the need for root access. This includes system apps, bloatware, google processes.....EVERYTHING. Its been quite handy over the past 3 years.
So anyway, I simply disabled the Samsung wearables app. That finally stopped it from popping up.
Here's the best part....The widget for the wearables app still functions just fine! The widget displays battery life like usual and when I click the widget it opens what appears to be the exact same settings menu from the wearables app. I can still change all the settings and options associated with my Buds+.
Here's a link to a copy of BK disabler I've uploaded to my Google Drive. Keep in mind I'm using this with Android 9 so it may or may not work with newer versions of Android. If BK Disabler doesnt work for you I suggest doing an internet search for newer apps that have the ability to force disable system apps without root access.
BK Disabler_v2.4.1_paid version
Note: Before trying all of the troubleshooting listed above I had already confirmed the following...
1.) Smart Things app was uninstalled
2.) Samsung Wearables app was NOT allowed to "appear on top"

WearablesIf you have found a solution please tell. However I believe it only opens the app for older devices. I have a Note 9 and when I try to connect it opens the app, but if I try to connect on the Tab S6 Lite it just shows the pupup.
What kind of phone do you use your buds with?

WearablesIt drives me mad. Those Galaxy apps keeps opening on the weirdest places. Wan't to take a photo > hop, Samsung on top of it.
I tried everything. Deleting, installing all over, resetting smartwatch, etc.
But still those popping Galaxy Wear (& Manager) apps.

WearablesHas a solution been found to this yet? My phone isn't really usable with the watch app installed, and my watch isn't usable with it uninstalled.

WearablesStill happening for me in 2024, start of the year. This is ridiculous. I'm done with the app and done with the watch.
