Is this why the S10 series update was pulled?

There's a bug in the June patch for the S10 series in the US. I don't think I have to spell out that the S10 series (and all Galaxy in general) in Canada are similar or carbon copies of US devices, down to the firmware, barring the CSC.

Ah shoot, I did spell it out.

Anyway that's a serious enough bug to legitimately hold the update, even if only a subset of owners are affected. You simply can't get past the lock screen anymore. Safe Mode works as a workaround though.

I didn't factory reset and have had no problems with the phone.

You are lucky but that's still a serious issue like last year's huge S7 Oreo bug. Even if you specifically aren't affected, there's still reports of some being affected

I doubt it lol. What triggers the bug anyway?

I do the same after each update, no issues here too with the June update patch installed, but I don't factory reset my device.
