Why does Samsung pretty much ignore this phone and its userbase? Its unacceptable.  This phone is decent  and a lot of people spent a solid chunk of money on  it. If you're going to release a product,  stand by it. If this doesn't change I can tell you right now that every single a70 user will not be buying a Samsung as their next phone.

The update was already released recently, assuming you're talking about Android Q. It's out for all A70 from all CSCs except Rogers and Fido.

Now if you're so impatient, maybe I could help you get the update faster.

I'm aware, but it took a long time and they didn't even announce it on their news feed. not to mention they ignore all requests for coding via xda so people can make use if open source software modding

well to be far, I've had an S7E and now a S9+. software updates are not much better support wise for the S or note line either.

@Tbone that's horse dung dude. if they sell an expensive tech product they should respect the people who buy it. regardless if it's a flagship phone or not. $500+ should come with premium support and updates for 5 years after it drops below $500 retail value.

I got my a70 almost a year ago. no update since December 1st and no sign of android q on Roger's. really poor support. I had an s8+ and the support wasn't much better. android 11 is releasing into beta next week. I think I am done with Samsung. the pixel 4 is half the price of a s20. way better support than Samsung offers.

OnePlus and Essential are right there too. But no Canadian carrier carries OnePlus (the carriers are run by idiots apparently) and the Essential Phone is out of production but still supported.
