UPDATE May 2023. Better late than never.

  • Credit where it is due and Samsung is due some credit .... One of the updates to my phone fixed this issue and now my friends and colleagues no longer comment that I sound like a robot on Bluetooth in my Honda

Thank you Sammy

Got a new a53 and it works well but it has an issue with Bluetooth connection in my Honda accord 2013.

It is not a problem with my Honda has my previous LG phone worked absolutely perfectly with it.

My a53 connects to my car just fine and plays music perfectly and connects calls perfectly also but my own voice is garbled by distortion when I try to speak to anyone over the phone.

This is almost certainly a software issue with the a53 as there would be much more reports if it was a problem with Android.

And yes you can find other people on the internet who have this exact same issue with the a53.

JJust just fix it please.

If I knew I would have the Bluetooth problem I would not have purchased A53 5G it's so frustrating it doesn't work on both of my vehicles Mazda 2012 and Honda 2013 I have contacted Samsung many times no one is willing to help so disappointed.

I have the exact issue as everyone here has described. I have a 2014 Honda Civic and the Bluetooth calls worked perfectly with my Samsung A5. I got my A53 at the end of August and everything I tried to call someone or took a call while driving I got the same feedback. My voice sounds robotic and distorted on the other end. I have connected my girlfriends A52 and it works fine. I have tried using a Bluetooth headset with my A53 and that worked fine. It seems to be isolated to this A53 phone while using the cars Bluetooth. Really hoping Samsung addresses this, great phone otherwise

Gee Samsung. There seems to be a lot of people with this problem. Maybe you should fix it. I've received several OS updates since I originally reported this, hoping each time this is the one that fixes it. I've also had a warranty replacement, so it's not the device. Fix this now!

I bought an A53 on September 19th. I did not realize until a week later that I was having this exact same issue. I went back to the Verizon store looking for help. They sent me a replacement A53. It does the same thing. I have spent about 2 hours on the phone with Verizon and Samsung tech support. They could not resolve the issue. I am able to use the call feature in my 2018 Corolla without a problem using a Galaxy A51 and iPhone 13. I have an open ticket with Samsung tech support. The A53 is definitely a problem.

Hope you get an answer but don't hold your breath. Samsung guy at Best Buy tried for an hour plus and failed. Same as you: A51 works, A53 is a robot.

HEY SAMSUNG, DO YOU MONITOR AND READ THIS THREAD? I just spent 40 minutes on the phone with one of your agents. I had my ticket number from the last time I called in. Someone was supposed to get back to me, but they never did. The issue has not been resolved for me and probably not for anyone else. The only advice I was given today was to take my phone back to Ubreak, We Fix or send it back to Samsung. We Fix could not fix it before. Samsung expects me to live without a phone until the figure out something. I understand there are issues. I wish Samsung had the courage to admit it and let us all know what they are doing to correct the issue.

Yep, I just got a new Galaxy a53 last week and I'm being told by my wife that every call I make using my Bluetooth in my Honda sounds like a robot.

I see there are a lot of others having the same issue for quite awhile. Has there been any fixes for this?

so today I've tried to use my phone again to make Bluetooth calls from my car and it worked perfectly the other person hear me without any problems and the robotic sound is not present anymore, what I have done? Nothing really, I got a security patch update in October and that's it. And of course I'm using the same car I was having problems before, my wife's phone still have the issue but mine is the A53 5G.

Phone: A53 5G
