UPDATE May 2023. Better late than never.

  • Credit where it is due and Samsung is due some credit .... One of the updates to my phone fixed this issue and now my friends and colleagues no longer comment that I sound like a robot on Bluetooth in my Honda

Thank you Sammy

Got a new a53 and it works well but it has an issue with Bluetooth connection in my Honda accord 2013.

It is not a problem with my Honda has my previous LG phone worked absolutely perfectly with it.

My a53 connects to my car just fine and plays music perfectly and connects calls perfectly also but my own voice is garbled by distortion when I try to speak to anyone over the phone.

This is almost certainly a software issue with the a53 as there would be much more reports if it was a problem with Android.

And yes you can find other people on the internet who have this exact same issue with the a53.

JJust just fix it please.

I have the same issue. Got my new phone few days ago and my voice sounds like a robot for both incoming and outgoing call when using the car Bluetooth. Anyone fot this fixed or shall I go to Samsung support?

Does anyone have Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update? If yes, do you still have this issue? I'm hoping it got fixed via this update.

We got it yesterday and did a brief test. Initially it still was garbled but then, like magic, it went perfectly clear! Haven't had the chance to try it in a more normal environment but am cautiously optimistic. Will report back when we test more.

Just on chat with Samsung support. The only thing they told me was to use Android Auto. Yes,

Hmmmm. OK, i need to buy a vehicle 4 years newer than my current one, just so i can use this phone. Sorry, NO.

Enough for me to return the phone. Too bad everything else works well. HELLO SAMSUNG?

Posted my first post on this issue back in July after getting my A53 on a Toyota RAV4 2016. After multiple other posts, no reply or followup from Samsung whatsoever!!! Just to let you all know that I just got a new RAV4 2022 and the phone works perfectly with the Bluetooth connection.

SAMSUNG: This is obviously a Bluetooth CODEC software support with some older car generation. You should take more care and attention at what your customer's are telling you, this is what Customer Support is all about!

Any update on this issue. I’ve gone t through 2 A53 this week. I spent a day at Subaru dealership, updated software, troubleshooted with Samsung, T-Mobile, Samsung repair shop and nothing has worked. It connects to my Subaru but everyone I talk to can’t understand my garbled robotic voice. It sounds fine when linked to my husbands 2015 For F-150 but not my 2016 Subaru Legacy. Samsung unwilling to pay for upgrade to S-series. Ridiculous.

Mine worked fine with my Rav4 for a couple of months before the robotic distortion suddenly started. Nothing has worked to fix it. So aggravating!
