New email not coming in unless i open app

Hello ! Yeah, that question again !!!

I've been trough many post with solution and elsewhere on internet. Spent many hours to go trough every thing again and again on my phone. I'm getting desperate about that and there's no bridge close i can jump from...........

Reboot : yes

wipe cache : yes

I asked our AI friend and this is what was suggested to try:

Email Sync Settings

  • Check Sync Settings:
    • Open the Samsung Email app.
    • Go to Settings (usually by tapping the three-dot menu or hamburger menu and selecting settings).
    • Select your email account.
    • Ensure Sync Email is enabled.
    • Adjust the Sync Schedule to automatic or push.

2. Battery Optimization Settings

  • Disable Battery Optimization for Samsung Email:
    • Go to Settings > Apps.
    • Find and select Samsung Email.
    • Tap Battery > Optimize battery usage.
    • Switch to "All apps" and ensure Samsung Email is not optimized.

3. Data Usage Restrictions

  • Allow Background Data:

    • Go to Settings > Apps.
    • Find and select Samsung Email.
    • Tap Mobile Data or Data Usage.
    • Ensure Allow background data usage is enabled.
  • Allow Unrestricted Data Access:

Try to change the battery settings for the app to Unrestricted if it isn't already to see if that helps.

I think i found what you're talking about, but i can't toggle "on"  this option. I'll have dig more to find why......

Just to be sure. I go in "information about email " ( my phone is in french... ), then hit "battery" and then there's this " back ground activity authorization " that i can't turn on. It's in light gray so there's a setting missing somewhere else to "high light" this option......

How do i do that ?

Other information.

If i open email app and let it run while i do other things, it still won't sync until i bring it back full screen.

Hi Danbidan,

Yes, as said by Dem_Crumblies_TechYT please check Battery optimization settings. 

If that doesn't work Re-add the Email Account. If there’s a configuration issue: Remove the account from the Email app. Add it back and re-enter your credentials.

OK. I found about battery optimization only to find out that my settings were ok.

So it's back to the starting point.   No sync... 😞
