Ok, so I'm  thinking of buying an A53. But I've also considered a S21 FE. I know it's about $300 more but comparing the specs, I don't see much difference,  even with the cameras necessarily and I'm not a camera snob as much as I used to think I wanted to be years ago. I don't take enough where I really need to be.  Having the A52 has shown me that that speed is good enough. But can anyone offer their input that could affect my choice? I know ultimately,.like you hear the reviews say, it's my choice and depends how much I want to spend, etc.

First off, I am not very familiar with either device myself, but you can get an impartial side by side comparison for GSM Arena here:

The following, is purely based anecdotal observation.

I don't recall seeing people posting any issues with the A53, but I have noticed a number of posts, from people who have the S21 FE that were experiencing some problems?

I don't know if this will help with your decision, but it should give you a different perspective?

Well, 1 thing that may be the deciding factor is the A53 will get 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates from this year, whereas the A52 only has 3 years left.

If you want to use the A53 in your car for hands free, it may not work. Search for A53 robotic. There are a lot of posts about this and Samsung's total inaction. They post a set of things to do that don't fix the problem and nothing else. It happens across a wide range of models of all years. My A51 works perfect but wife's A53 is useless in the car.

Yeah, I've been reading the several posts about it. It does concern me. Ive had an A20 now the A52 ans an A51 as a work phone with an old job and never had a problem in my car. The only thing I would like to see is the Google assistant take over because when I get a text it doesn't announce it through my phone it does it through the card Built-in Bluetooth system but they only have canned responses programmed into that. so I can't ever respond without picking up my phone and hitting the Google assistant responding that way

UPDATE: So, I sold my Indian variant of the A52 and bought the A53 brand new( I couldn't wait for getting in contact with sellers on FB to buy a mint used/pre-owned one since I no longer had a phone). I know there's some here and others from YouTube reviews that feel it may be against my better judgment, since there's not really any upgrades. I bought it from Staples and it was actually cheaper than a new A52 🤔-$589.99/$652.99(although that could be old as I don't see them come up in the search results on the website.)
